During a recent Developing Group where Penny and James were looking at the parallels in language between the Clean Language, Clean Space and the Power of Six snapshots of David's work, I was struck by the emphasis on the word 'know' in the latter two developments.
Both processes, and perhaps particularly the Po6, presuppose that 'knowing' is the requisite learning to be sought. I wonder what would happen if 'know' were replaced by 'notice' or 'perceive' or 'feel' or some other word. Different in each case perhaps?
I also wonder whether the processes could be cleaned up and made more personal to the client by incorporating the words the client uses for their perception process, e.g. when we ask 'And what do you know here?' and they reply 'I think there is something to be done', could we switch to their language and ask 'And is there anything else that you think here?'
