Information can take a different meaning when put in a different context.

E.g. "Order versus entropy;
structure versus choas;
categorising versus networking;
hierarchy versus democracy."

If I put it in this Feedback thread it is about this forum, the balance between creative processes and the need for order.

I've been looking at options for a more network-oriented forum structure, which would fit well for some areas of the forum. So far, there seems little available in current software - most employ a hierarchical structure, probably because it's easier to program computers this way. With what's already available, it's possible to go 'non-threaded', that is, messages simply list in order posted. That doesn't do much for creating an information 'mesh'. I have an idea for a structure and a system, however it would cost a lot to develop. I am going to continue my search and exploration.

By the way, I find it preferable to think in terms of 'and' rather than 'versus'. There's no 'order' without 'chaos', no 'democracy' without 'hierarchy'.
