Thanks for all the wonderful notes; it helps. Since I was out of state, I found out about David's death on Jan 22nd. I first met David through Brenda in the 1990's; my PhD is in Poetry; I went to Eldon for work with David; both the work and joy were amazing.

Then, in May 07, and in June 2007, I was able to be part of the retreat/workshops at Brenda & Rob's; David asked me to talk alongside of him at a morning "seminar" -- again, we see his delight about pulling together the worlds of poetics, 6 degrees, download/upload, and "turns" -- the emgerging knowledge ("vers" derives from a plower's "turn" at the end of a field).

It's the verse form that shows the formal structure of "turns" at the end of a line. When I was able to write (in the yard swing) a set of sonnets--a "Light Show" David later said, they became a "Sonnet Luminare" sequence. I feel able to begin to carry this work into my University teaching. I feel the privilege of working with Brenda, David, and meeting wonderful people in various groups. It is such a rich community. Thanks for the spaces here, Juliet
