I only met David once - in 2003 - at a workshop in New Jersey where he opened my eyes to Clean Language and Space, cosmologies of the psyche, and his playful, brilliant mind. I never saw or spoke to him again, but those few days with him were enough to inspire me to write my Master's Paper, 3 years later, on his work. I dug up that paper after learning of David's death and re-read the quotes I had added in my introduction. They seemed fitting when I chose them, and they seem fitting now.
