David looked like an excited child, seeing people from many different countries pass by in a lobby of the World Bank. When we went to the Visitor's Office be issued his day pass to enter the building, he flirted with the officer, dancing and saying, “ Today I am feeling sexy”.

He immersed himself into a context with all five senses.

In one of my professional engagements with him, he watched me coaching one of my clients by using Emergent Knowledge........“First thing you know........” Suddenly he whispered to me, “Keiko, this is a therapy language. We have to use coaching language. Now I know.” Being in a business coaching context inside an organization, a light bulb switched on, according to him.

Later we went to Kawasaki, a fine Japanese restaurant around Dupont Circle. While David was enjoying Sushi, Tempura, miso-marinated grilled white fish and Tofu soup, I started talking about India. What a mistake ! Politely he stood up, got outside and walked around. Later I learned that once I had begun to talk about India, he did not taste Japanese food anymore. He was tasting Indian food!

He had many more happy scenes and stories such as a Taiko performance he attended in Glasgow, and his trip to Japan with his brother and mother. Last October, we prepared for a training for 35 staff from about 20 different countries, and we had so much fun. On the training day, he got up at 6 a.m. and wore navy blue suit and yellow tie, and I had told our staff to come in casual attire. He wanted to come to Japan for workshops and trainings in the near future. He was invited to do training in Poland this year. He was writing three books with several friends/colleagues and a booklet with wonderful broad-hearted Diana in New Zealand. He recently started “body work” to improve his health. Last November in France, Lynn gave him Feldenkrais treatments daily. He even wanted to train our psycho Portuguese Water Dog, Momo, to become a therapy dog. He was fascinated by a TV show, “Dog Whisperer”. It seems his talents were not limited to humans. Last year he created a vision of the second Eldon (the Retreat Center he had in Missouri in the 90s) at a beautiful farm in Maryland, where his long-term client and now therapist lives with her family. The second Eldon, though on a smaller scale, was planned to open this year.
