Thanks to everyone for sharing their memories of David. I'd heard some of the stories before, and some are new. Alas, although I attended a few of David's workshops and seminars I did not get to know him personally. Even so, he has been a major influence in my life in many different ways and I am deeply grateful for his work.
One event that does stand out for me was "Words that Wound" at Regents College one mid-week evening 8 or 9 years ago. This was the first time I had seen David and I remember being astounded at his ability to work with two participants simultaneously, recalling every detail of their metaphor landscapes, while simultaneously explaining what was happening to the audience and having us all join in with the questions as well.
What an incredible man, and what a wonderful legacy he has given us all.
