I'm still taking this in. . . Only this morning I was writing about my work and (before hearing about David's death) realising at a deeper level, how much I'd been influenced by so much he developed and what shared with me. Then, and now even more so, I feel such gratitude for David for the input I have had from him over the years. And now washed over by missing him greatly.
Amongst my last memories of him was when he popped in, unannounced and unexpected, to a conference in Glastonbury. I'd just had a bereavement and was wondering if I had the strength to lead the session I was booked to present. I will always remember the long hug, at least 6 minutes in the middle of the entrance hallway. I like to think now that somehow he understood about death, certainly he was present to it then. I wish him well on the journey that he has been these last days.
David, you've left us quite a legacy and now a new chapter in your work begins!!
