Hi all,
From sunny Somerset; my wife Karen and I have started using 'clean space' in with our horse work. We are presently (under David’s guidance) SETTING 'B' the issue/goal as the horse. Then using clean questions and space work to see what develops. Edge of the seat so far!! A horse reacts about 7 times faster to your emotions than you do, so as a thought enters your consciousness the horse has already reacted.
We are working in two ways at the moment. One is sports orientated with a rider; what is the goal – too ride in flow with the horse. Results - After a session of 6 questions 6 times the horse physically reacted when the rider got it (flow).
The other way is more therapy orientated. The client is on the ground and performs an exercise (the horse is ‘B’) and notices (or has it brought to their attention – unclean) the horse’s reactions.
This work is still very experimental but I thought I would let you know some of the things going on here in Somerset as David gets a second wind.
 P.S. next week the gyroscope ‘Mark 2’.

We are still trialling different ways of doing ‘Clean Equine’ incorporating present ‘Equine Assisted psychology’ and ‘Clean Language, Space work and Emergence'.
There is a video up on google, which will give you an idea of the work. Sorry no sound so it’s only a flavour of the work at the moment – sound will emerge (eventually).

Hi John, thanks for the video link. The movie has both clarified and mystified me - perhaps that makes it a good teaser! Clarified because now I have a glimpse of what actually happens, mystified because I still don't know what happens. A couple of questions: does the client ever move to different places in the arena, clean-space-style? Does the client ever interact deliberately with the horse?
I wondered what it might be like being the client and what difference having such an animal in my space might make; quite a bit I would think. Then I tried 'being' the horse and having a client in my space - that was harder (all I got was 'oats' but then I haven't had breakfast yet - ho, ho). What might it be like working this way on an endless prairie without fences? I wonder if the horse would clear off never to be seen again or hang around the humans?
I love the bit where the horse rolls and scratches his back - my own back was going '0h, yes, please, I'll have some of that!' So I just tried it on the living room floor - another advantage of working from home - and it was very nice. Another new therapy is spawned - You Scratch Your Back Therapy - that's another one for Kindred Spirits magazine!
I imagine you are working towards some sort of voiceover? Having seen it without, and then presumably one day with a voice, it will be interesting to compare the two. I would also love to see a much longer piece with the voices of the players.
Thanks again

I thought an up date was needed here. We are continuing to experiment with different procedures in the arena. One of the interesting things to emerge (sic) in the practises is the way the horse changes and influences the metaphor the clients develops.
While this is clean work the facilitator is going to have an effect with their presence. We use CL and EK during the sessions and the horses actions influence what happens with the results. The metaphors or learnings are changed by the client so they are part of their inner emergenents.
I'm wondering if the horse actually overwhelms the facilitators presence(in a positive way)? Is the session therefore cleaner..
Does this happen with other presences during a session? Earthly and not? This could open another whole field in the supernatural?

How do you know there is such a thing as the supernatural? Did the horse tell you?
How is this relevant to the client?

Hi Corrie,
I do Clean coaching/ emergence so what every the client brings (be it supernatural or what ever) i work with that, but i think your missing the point of what i said.
What is clean, are there different levels of clean and are there influences outside the facilitators environment?

Hi John,
I'm trying to get your point:
"What is clean, are there different levels of clean and are there influences outside the facilitators environment?"
Most of what the client perceives is outside the facilitator's environment, simply because he or she doesn't tell you or let you know otherwise, very often because the client isn't aware of it him- or herself.
"I'm wondering if the horse actually overwhelms the facilitators presence(in a positive way)?"
His or her awareness of and interaction with the horse is just part of their landscape at the moment, as would be any other 'awareness or presence' they perceive or imagine. As soon as the horse behaves in any way that landschape may or may not change as part of the psycho-activity.
"Is the session therefore cleaner."
Clean refers only to your interaction with the client.
"Does this happen with other presences during a session? Earthly and not? This could open another whole field in the supernatural?"
There's no such thing as the supernatural, except possibly in some client's perception. For you as a facilitator to suggest or even to assume there would be, would be very unclean.
Corrie
